Yussuf Afifi

Yussuf Afifi is a Swedish scriptwriter, director, producer and author.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, Afifi holds a master’s degree in Economics from Ain Shams University.
He works independently to maintain creative freedom and prioritize high moral standards in his work.

Afifi is self-taught in film, drawing inspiration from Italian Realism and the French New Wave. Over his career, he has produced numerous documentaries, short films, and three feature-length films. He has also published seven books and is working on two more.
